One of the best pictures I've ever seen, not a war monger or spiritual in any way but this photo really hit a note with me... I don't know if there's a national award for 'picture of the year' or anything like that, but IMO this picture should win.

The official instruction guide for people who have bought one is to wear gloves and safety goggles before inserting. You really have to wonder sometimes ....

Wonderful picture with so much emotion - thank you for posting that

Yes I know.

Could not believe the H&S advice accompanying ours. Wondered what those who the poppies honour would have said had they survived.

Ours now sits proudly on the sideboard as a reminder of my great-uncle, killed in France 1917, and every other victim whatever their nationality.

Waiting for mine to arrive in January but looking at the love and care the volunteers are showing, it's no price to pay, to wait. Lovely picture

My daughter spent an afternoon volunteering to remove the poppies, she said she felt privileged and humbled to be able to do it.

In a day and age when some kids for whatever reason look upon charity work as being a bit anal, as a parent I would be chuffed to bits that my daughter had taken part in an occasion like that.

Good parenting me finks.

PS what a photo, any idea who took it. Amateur or pro.
