Jack Nicklaus believes Tiger Woods could still pass his record of 18 major titles despite not having played competitively for the past 16 months

i would like to see tiger beat jacks record but to do so he would have to get back to his very best.what are your opinions?

There's too many fit, younger golfers who don't suffer the hang up when stood next to Tiger. He won some comps playing average whilst those around him spent too much time in awe of him.

He may, but then again, he may not.

I hope that isn't too decisive for you...

I've always thought the record would be smashed by Tiger until the 7i thru the windscreen and all that's gone on since. But now, I don't think so.

If he was British he'd probably be accused a wasting his talent!😂

I was another who pre-scandal thought we would end up with 20-22. Can't seeing him winning much at all now, sadly. His body is knackered and is facing huge internal confidence issues - not conducive to winning majors, that. His short game kept him at the top and cannot see him getting to that level again.

I've loved watching him and his record is quite brilliant - he revolutionized the game and moved it on significantly. We should all be thankful to witness it right up close. Go out with grace though, eh?

Genuinely nice of Jack to be supportive though, speaks volumes about him.

Not a sniff, the competition is so much better now than a 2000-2005 Phil Mickelson/Ernie Els/Retief Goosen its beyond belief. Thats before you even bother including whatever decline there has been in Tigers game.

Id like to see him win one or two more just to prove everyone wrong, but realistically I don't think he has a cat in hells chance of taking the record

I genuinely think if he gets fit enough to play and compete regularly he may well win one or two more. Just can't see him wining 5.

If he can get back to where he was around 3 years ago and stay fit he may win a few pga tour events, he may even compete for a major but i dont think he will beat jack.
