I'm probably going to purchase a set of Titleist AP2 irons 4 to pw in the next day or so. The best price from my club pro is about £620 with the shafts that I want. I have trolled the internet and golfstore18.com has them at £238.99 - this can't be for real, can it?

It says the 2010 model...........for £238, something not right there..phone them. The old model AP2 are more at £273 eh ??????

This can't be the real deal, cant see it myself.

I'd be amazed, even when you convert the sterling price to USD, it seems far too cheap to be geniune. If someone is selling brand new Callaway clubs for that cheap, they can't be for real!

Not much else on that site seems comparatively cheap or realistic RRP's to start with, which again sets alarm bells ringing! Can't fake bags and balls as easily as clubs it appears.

whois.com suggests it's a US owner/register, but all details are UK... ?

£450 seems to be about the cheapest "real" ones I can find, with golfonline.co.uk.

These are the new ones though, what is to stop you buying a set of slightly used originals? they really didnt change much on the club bar the logo'ing.

I am not really looking to save the last penny, just checking that my Pro's price was about right. He has mocked up various clubs for me the last week or so and, so long as the price is within range, I would probably reward his help.

It was just that this site stood out like a sore thumb as being potentially iffy

well...I can't see any address on the site, I've just looked at the R9 superdeep which is for sale at £146 quid!!! (all the other sites are new £300+.
Well you know what they say...if it smells like...

If it looks to good to be true, then it probably is.

The domain (web address) is registered by the same guy who owns golfstore365.com.

If you web chat with them (I did) they say:

Hi, just looking at your prices and they are very very competitive. Can you assure me that the brands you sell are 100% genuine?

All our clubs are from the original factory, with the same high quality and excellent performance as the ones you could get from your local pro shop and the official website.

That response came back VERY quickly and I suspect a super typist of a copy and paste of a stock answer.

If it were me, I pay the pro and be 100% confident I was getting a genuine product that would be totally hassle free to return if there was a problem.

The pro I have ordered from showed me the pricing policy and said that all distributors pay the same. He is making just belowe 5% on the deal and I think that's quite reasonable for what he has done to help. If there is any problem he is there to take the clubs back and deal with it and for that reason I placed the order tonight with him

A guy in work bought an r9 460 from that golfstore 18 its a Chinese mob they said they were for the Japanese market ,utter crap there fakes ,he did get his money back.
To be honest he was trying to be a cheap skate in the end he used Golfbidder.

To avoid confusion, the smaller (Second) image is the 2010 model whilst the larger image is the previous one.
