Afternoon all

I commute into London every day for work and cycle the 1.5 miles once I get off the train. With winter on the horizon I started looking for some waterproof gear and stumbled across someone suggesting buying army surplus gear.....after all, if it's good enough for the army then I should be ok on my Brompton on the mean streets around Buckingham palace.

Anyway, I ordered 2 pairs of Goretex trousers for £30 with the intention of cutting 1 pair into shorts and keeping 1 pair as trousers..... they arrived today and I'm 100% chuffed to bits with them, they look brand new and this got me thinking.

Do you know of anywhere/think that anywhere would object to you slipping these on overtop of your golf trousers during the wet winter months? What are your opinions on this?

With how lary golf clothing is these days I'm warming to the idea of rocking them on the course.

I personally do not see a problem if it is raining hard, but not sure how the blazer brigade would react to them in this country. But I suspect in the states, as they are a lot more appreciative of the armed forces in public, then you may well get a free round.;)

Great for ambushing your playing partners when they lose one in the woods!

Hours of fun can be had in camo gear!

The only thing is that if you get hit with a stray shot they can just say "sorry mate I didn't see you"

You'll have to balance the camo trousers with a high vis top.
