Ok so I cant spell his name first off, but did anyone see whats in his bag?
13 degree driver couple of fairways then 4 hybrid and longest iron was a 5 iron, gets me thinking us hackers are overcomplicating the game a bit. I'm upgrading my irons shortly due to my long service award and thinking of playing a hybrid iron combo like Camillo.

It's the same set up as I have used for years

Have got a HiFli 4 in the bag now

Haven't used a 3 iron or 4 iron for 5 years

It's becoming more common for the Tour Pros to drop the 3 and 4 irons at some courses.
Ernie is one that springs to mind - lots of headcovers in his bag now!

Maybes this is what brought him back from the wilderness.

Here is a complete list of the clubs that Camilo Villegas used to win the 2014 Wyndham Championship:

DRIVER: TaylorMade JetSpeed HL (13 degrees, with Matrix VLCT 60T shaft)
FAIRWAY WOODS: TaylorMade SLDR (17 and 21 degrees, with Matrix Ozik Code 8X shafts)
HYBRID: TaylorMade SLDR Rescue (24 degrees, with Project X HB6 shaft)
IRONS: TaylorMade Tour Preferred CB (5-PW, with Project X Rifle 6.5 shafts)
WEDGES: TaylorMade Tour Preferred ATV Grind (52, 58 and 60 degrees, with Project X Rifle shafts)
PUTTER: Scotty Cameron for Titleist Select Squareback+ prototype
BALL: TaylorMade Tour Preferred

Mark Crossfield was very vocal about the 13 degree driver on social media. I can see a lot of players swapping long irons for hybrids. Didn't YE Yang even have a 5H when he won his major?

Pretty sure he had the 5 iron in there that week.

But it's often replaced by a hybrid.

KJ Choi has been known fill the bag with hybrids. One day of 2011 Masters, 7 iron was longest iron! (Thanks Stuey01!).

58 and 60 wedges? seems a bit silly to me.

lowest iron being a 5 is something I've done for quite some time. I have put the 4i in the bag a bit this summer but it never stays there too long.

a long iron is pretty useful on links all the same!
