Came 2nd in a classic on Saturday

The 3 ball team I was playing with came second in a charity classic on Saturday, we finished with 86 points which was the same as the winners but we lost out on countback. It's the first thing I've won playing golf so I don't mind the fact we nearly won, chuffed just to get something. The best thing about it was that it wasn't our home course, we were playing a links course about 30 miles away so didn't expect to do much, maybe that's why we did so well. Each of us got a nice crystal wine cooler so the wife was happy with that.

I'm a 25 handicap but the last few weeks I've started playing pretty well, my driving it actually quite good at the minute. I played in another classic the week before & I think we might have sneaked 4th place however the scorecard was wrong so we got disqualified

Need to enter the coming weekends competitions to see what sort of points total I can get, 29 is my best so far but if I can keep going like I am right now that's bound to go up.

Get into as many events as you can and get your handicap down. I'm sure you have the game to do so and and just make sure you check everything everytime before handing the card in

Thanks Homer & Jammy, the competition where we got disqualified was my first team competition & fortunately I wasn't marking the scorecard & didn't look at it to be honest except for signing it as I wasn't sure how to fill it in. I know I should have but the other 3 were experienced at team competitions so left it to them. We all learned a valuable lesson & last weekends card was checked a number of times by us all.....
