been practising a lot since my lesson & swing change on Friday. I have developed a sort of callous/sore area on the middle segment of my ring finger on the right hand.

I have only developed this really since my new irons which have golf pride full cord grips.

Never had this before with my G10's with standard ping grips or my nike VR's with standard nike grips

could it just be the extra abrasion of a corded grip or gripping too tightly?

Was quite sore at the end of my range session tonight

Yep, I've got a hard bit of skin on my right index finger, just below the knuckle, presumably caused by the way my fingers curl round the grip. Doesn't cause me any pain or discomfort though.

yeah same thing I guess, I must be using too much fairy doing the washing up :)

Do find the full cord grips quite harsh mind you, may change them.

Yeah, I use the Golf Pride multi-compound grips. Hadn't really given it much thought before now, just figured it was like a golfing badge of honour.

I don't like the corded grips because they feel too rough to me. I like soft tacky rubber.

Is it possible that the rougher grips are just highlighting the fact that your hand (or the grip) is moving during your swing?
