I usually wear glasses to play golf but use contacts for rainy days. Unfortunately, with not playing very often it seems I've run out of lenses for my right eye ( don't ask me how that happened :mmm:).

Playing at the Forum meet at Woburn on Tuesday, with the rain expected PM, could prove nigh on impossible (based on what happened today).

Have tried to get more lenses from my opticians but my "Prescripton has expired" and they "don't have any more appointments until next Wednesday" (Bl**min Tesco, Grrrrr!). Other Opticians the same - and I've called about 10 local ones.

So, an URGENT request for assistance from any Opticians coming to Woburn OR who live work near Hayes, West London. -

Please PM me if you can help out! :mmm:

Its a bit esoteric as I have quite bad astigmatism. I suppose the normal ones will do at a pinch.

Actual is: S -1.75; C -0.75; Ax 70; BC 8.6; Dia 14.2

Could use just the -1.75 BC 8.6 Dia 13.8 though.

That's daily disposables.

Need to be one hell of a prescription to spot all those provisionals!!

Remind me to give you a slap next time we meet Bri ;)

I'm not sure I hit any provisionals at the Berkshire but I 'm so used to being asked I say 1 or 2 just to avoid the look of disbelief! :D

Sorry mate I'm a lot stronger at -4.50

Haven't even got any old ones hanging around

I think you will be ok with glasses tbh - forecast is for a few showers in the afternoon

Is there a Specsavers near by ? They normally do quick appointments

If I was a busy optician, enjoying a well earned rest with my family over the Easter weekend, I think the following saying might be running through my bonce :

"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part " :D

I have monthly lenses. -1.75, BC 8.6, Dia 14.2 which you're welcome to. Expire 05/15 though and not sure how I'd get them to you on time?!

The "reserve stock" has been located at an "offsite location" ---- meaning I've managed to source a few "demo" lenses from a mate's daughter who's now my new Optician!
:whoo:

Can a Mod please close/delete this thread. Thanks.

"Quite bad astigmatism"? You're having a laugh, right? Here is my prescription:

L: S -8.00; C -4.00
R: S -8.00; C -2.25

I only have 13 clubs in the bag 'cos I have to leave a space for the white stick :-)
