I've just been clearing out a lock-up garage I've just bought and, under a tarpaulin at the back, I've uncovered a Wurlitzer electric piano.
It'a got millions of pedals and keys and switches and the model is a 4080R Swingin' Rythmn, according to a stamped plate on the unit.
It's covered in dirt but has remained fairly dry, I think, but I've not tried it yet as I've not run any power out there yet.
When clean, it should look like this;

Anyone know anything about these?

Hard to play, expensive to maintain (especially if valves are gone) but can be worth a few quid (or nothing).

Sorry, being very vague but it would be worth getting a few dealers to look at it.

Thanks mate.
Quick question, is it an electric piano or an electric organ ............................ and what's the difference.

Press a key and hold it down, if the sound goes away it's a piano if it keeps on going its an organ.

Think that's how you tell the difference, well one of them anyway.

Didnt they used to play the national anthem on this when you used to go the pictures.;)

Some of these organs cost a bomb but don't really hold their price unless they are top of the range. Modern keyboards can do everything these could, and more, and needed much less space. I have a Tyros 3 keyboard which was ground breaking for its time but the new Tyros5 is something else ( there are plenty of demonstrations on utube)

Those old organ types did have a certain charm though but size was the main reason they they have largely gone out of fashion

You may get some idea from this utube clip on a similar model
