Callaway XR Pro Irons

Anyone using these at the moment, or tried them out? Thoughts Views and Opinions good or bad much appreciated.

Ive been using MP53s for a few years now but I'm thinking about a change, I've only tried a 7 iron demo at a local range with the KBS 90 stiff and it's going very well, straight long and picks the ball up with ease.

Plenty of good irons out there, for me its very much a personal thing. Try a few out, go to a decent fitter and you shouldn't go far wrong.

On that note picking my new Srixon 745's up tomorrow, just a shame I have a dodgy back at the minute and I may be using them in the comp Sunday without a chance to practice with them!

Had a go but wasn't fussed. I thought they were just average. Now if you were talking about the Apex Pro's... lovely feel off the clubface.

I have the XR pro, they are quite loud.... but very nice. Nice and compact with very little offset and go miles too!

Are you building an extension on the golf cave first?

I use the XR pros at an indoor range/sim and have apex pro in the bag which offer so much more feel and it seems the strike always comes off better

Having seen in the flesh the difference in flight between the 53's and the XR's i would say there appeared (to a bystander) to big improvement for you.

Have you considered the Xhot2 pro's?

Only ask because i imagine they are pretty similar and are maybe 300 quid cheaper. I know you can get them with the same XP shaft.
