Anyone currently play the XR fairways? Just wanted to gather some opinions.

Do you find it an easy club to hit?

What did you play previous to them and do you find them a significant improvement?

Can now be picked up for under £100 so considering picking up a couple of new fairways

I've got the XR driver plus the 3 & 5 woods. Driver replaces a Cleveland Launcher, and the woods replace my Wilson D100 equivalents. The 5 woods is a lovely club - my go-to club off the fairway, Really easy to hit. The 3 is great off the tee. Great improvement over the previous. If they are under 100 notes then definitely worth a try.

Ive got the 3 and 5 X2 Hot hybrids and they are both brilliant clubs. At a Callaway fitting I couldn't get better out of the XR's

Got the 3 at Christmas and find it easy to hit off the fairway and useful off the tee as well.

An even cheaper alternative would be the original TM RBZ 3 wood

I've recently replaced my old Nike Sumo squared 2 and 4 hybrids with Callaway XR 3 and 5 hybrids. The Callaway clubs are sweet, the 3 gives me an extra 15 yds on the old 2, and the 5 does the same for the old 4. The 3 seems to promote a draw that I never knew I had too, I'm hitting it anything up to 220 yds at times and have been using it more than my 3 wood. Also bought the XR driver to replace my old Ping G15 - the XR fly's a lot further when I hit properly, very happy with my purchase.

Got the driver and 3w, driver isn't firing due to swing issues but the 15* 3w is a weapon off the tee and the deck, it's also THE only 3w I've ever been able to hit from the rough

I've got the XR 4 wood in my bag. It's an absolute weapon. Was getting superb numbers with it when I got fitted for it and it goes an absolute mile.

How easy do you find the 4 wood from the ground to hit?

Considering buying a 4 wood instead of a 3 wood

I have the 3 wood and love it. Wouldn't say it's the easiest to hit but it has quite a shallow face which I like.

Before this I had the X2Hot which I wasn't keen on, but before that I had the original X-Hot which I loved.
Probably all to do with the shaft.
