Is it me or are new callaway / ping / tm irons looking more and more like the old designs just different colours and branding ??

How much can you change a club that works well - simple give it new paint, new finish and then get the advertising dept to go mad.

No gonna have to disagree i thought both the X22's Diablo Edge and Jaws wedges were all good looking clubs. Too many other brands just chuck out a new iron that looks just the same as any other. Whats wrong with terying to make the clubs look more modern and chuck a bit of paint at them. I aprtcuarly like the dark metal finish on the X24's but i wonder would you really notice much difference between the X22 and 24's and if not whats the point.

I fell out of love when I got the X20's that did nothing for my game. Too high in flight and poor distances (and that was after a C/F session). I think they peaked with the X14.

I think they peaked with the X-16s. Trouble is the 16s were hideous in every respect. At least the X-18s look OK when I forget my glasses.
