Callaway GBB Driver

Had mine about 2 weeks now and it's great.
it was the best for me after trying 5 or 6 different heads and shafts

Bloke at my place has just ordered a Callaway GBB Epic Driver with Fujikura Pro Green shaft. It's costing him £429. Why??

Freedom to choose?

I guess the same reason to buy an Audi when a Toyota does the same job?

I will never spend more than I have to buy a car but I will easily spend triple what most would spend on a new computer.

(Eying up a 1080 rig and g sync monitor)

Some might argue it's better than paying £150.00 for one round of golf.
But basically, so long as it's not illegal, people can spend their money however they want.

its not the spending of £430 that bothers me. its the spending of £430 because they think the driver is a revolution. how fast a ball comes off the club face is restricted by rules and regulations. all manufacturers push to the limit and have done for a while.

i absolutely love the epic and would definitely buy one if i had the spare cash. however, my reason for buying one would be because it looks great and feels great. nothing to do with how it performs against my current driver. its performs almost identical

But lets be honest, you are too tight to buy a GPS/Range finder that is a fraction of that and would help your game, so why would anyone expect you to but a modern driver??:rofl::rofl:

i have had the epic woods since they came out and it has changed the game for me. I have tons of drivers and hands down this has been the best driver for me. I am easily 20 yards longer and this has helped me carry ditches where i used to lay up.
I don`t hit the ball very far and have a sub 80 mph driver swing speed and also tend to hit down with my driver, so hitting a driver a decent distance has been a problem for me and the epic has helped with that.

Why not, it's his money after all & if it was the best option for him then fair play. If however he just bought one without getting fit then that is a bit daft as it may give worse results than his previous driver.

I have a Epic Sub Zero with an upgrade AD DI7x in it as it gave me the most consistent results along with better launch & spin numbers than my old Ping. Hit some huge drives with it already & the best thing is I actually gained accuracy.
