Just been down to AG to collect a club and bought a dozen of the new Diablo balls.

I was looking at the Nike balls as they are ALL 20% at the moment and wanted a distance ball with low spin. The guy down at AG was very helpful and said that they went on a Callaway day the other day and got the Diablo and the Tour i balls and bounced them off the face of a wedge and evry single once of them thought that the Diablo was the Tour i !! i.e. the more expensive and softer ball.

Will use one tomorrow night and report back.

Anybody else used these bad boys yet?

Don't like the name, so not on my shopping list, although I still have about 50 ProV1s to get rid of first. Never been a huge fan of Cally balls, until the ix came out, but have never bought any.

Not sure what post it was on(think it was in the reiew section) but I recommended these balls to people. I havn't tried them, but I guessed they would be a good ball for a cheap price.

After all, the quality Prov1 of yesteryear, is a callaway patent, so they definitly have the knowledge to produce top balls!

I played the old big bertha balls, and for £12 I would rate them ahead of the AD333's

I've got some of the Big Bertha balls, and agree with Tony, I rate them ahead of 333s and the Wilson Staff balls - tried all of them after reviews on here and the Callaways feel the best off the putter for me. As soon as I've lost them all (next week?!) I'll have to try the Diablos.

I like the old HX and tour Ix but preferred the TP black. I play a top end ball because a) I can afford to lose a few, b) like the feel off the putter and c) can tell the difference in spin control with wedges and prefer a quicker stopping ball than an AD333 or diablo etc

The old Callaway Big Bertha Blue was a good ball, the big Bertha Red(/Maroon), was less so, but still a good ball. Pity the Blue was phased out.

If the Diablo is as good as Callaway's previous budget ball range, then it'd be one of the few things in the Diablo Range I would bother trying at any stage. Though, with several current favorites, I'm probably less likely than I otherwise would have been trying the the new ball.
