Callaway Diablo and FT-9 drivers

Morning all

Neil and Paul are out at the Munich trade show this week and will be bringing you news and pictures of new gear that will be launching in 2009

First up is the Callaway Diablo driver

How ugly is that Diablo, looking forward to a peek at the FT-9 and x22's

It is worrying that the Diablo is about 4 times the size of the foot in the first photo. This means one of two things, the head is HUGE, or the foot is small.

Looks like Cobra rather than a Callaway. I think they both look pretty nice and wouldnt turn my nose up at either. I didnt realise Callaway where releasing a new range of irons, I wouldnt mind a sneak at the X22s.

Somebody is always releasing a new set of irons, usually TM.

Don't like Cally drivers anyway. The face is always closed, so you think the ball will hit your left ankle.

There does seem to have been a spate of new kit this autumn.

So Callaway drivers are no good for hookers then. No pun or joke intended.

ft-9 looks pretty good but not sure about the diablo looks horrible looking down and the sole is not nice normally one of the 2 would look good

What a crappy looking bunch of clubs. Can you tell that i am not a fan of Callway clubs. I have never liked the look or feel of them from the early BBs onwards.
They may be fantastic clubs in some peoples eyes but they just don't do it for me.

I hav enever been Callaway fan - only club I liked was the FT-5, FT-9 looks good and Diabilo looks interesting. I would love a try with it.

Boabski - that has to be the understatement of the year!! From a Callaway fan - these drivers stink!!!!

Anyway, why do they have to bring new ones out? The Hyper X hasn't been out long and I don't reckon they'll improve the FT-5 much.

New irons - yes I can see that as the X-20's have been around a while and the only newer irons have been aimed at the better player.

Callaway and TM seem to be pushing something new every 3 months or less. Most of the others launch once a year or so. We can't keep changing our gear....
