We often feel the need to vent our anger at poor customer service, but this time I want to praise some good customer service.


I bought a Callaway Strike Cart Bag last June, the bag itself was OK, apart from recently getting very worn between one of the dividers. At first I put it down to the fact my Ghost Spider putter sits on that area, but I also noticed that the place all my wedges sit is still perfect, and they probably exert more rubbing than the putter (which has got its headcover on all the time). Anyway i originally thought that Callaway would probably just put it down wear and tear.

Anyway it got worse just recently and I thought i would vent some anger and get it off my chest by sending an email to Callaway. Got a reply very quickly and they said simply take it back to the shop as it shouldn't be wearing like that, that it could damage my clubs and would still be within the 2 year warranty. I was to tell the shop to send it back, so they could take a look. Well I thought it might be tough to get a new one as the Strike is last years model, certainly my pro shop wasn't going to have one as I got the last one and they no longer stock Callaway kit now. But the bag went back and the guy from customer services got back to me almost immediately to say they will send out another one straight away. Got another email to confirm it was on its way, before the faulty one had been sent back !!

Well I've just been to pick it up from the shop, and it's a new bag from this years collection. I'm very happy and just thought I needed to write this to praise some good customer service.

Also nothing but praise for Callaway from me. A few years back, I bought the 25th Anniversary FT-i Driver, after about 9 months it developed a rattle in the head after one of my tee shots. Pro sent it back to Callaway who immediately offered a replacement, as mines was a limited addition and they had no stock left, offered me any of their new drivers. I got a FT9 Tour with tour spec shaft which was just out and retailing about £399 within a week. Now that's what I call customer service :thup:
 
I can 2nd that about Callaway Customer Service, only dealt with once, but SUPERB....:thup:

My 1st ever Stand Bag, Callaway Daytripper, where the 2 straps meet there is a round piece of metal holding the straps
Anyway, I noticed some of my shirts had a strange mark in the centre of the back, yellowy, discolouring
Realised the Metal holding the straps had corroded
So the mark on shirts was RUST :angry:
Got in touch with Callaway, great response
Told me go to nearest Stockist, I used an American Golf Outlet ( knew 1 of the staff ) they sent my bag away, I got a 'hire bag' off AG whilst mine was away, I had to send my 'Stained' shirts too
Within a week, they Phoned me, aplogised 'Big Style' , then told me, because Callaway didnt have their own Shirts, they couldnt send me any, but see what they could do.........
But also said, a Brand New replacement Bag would be despatched that day, next day delivery, to the AG shop I used
Sure enough.........Next Day, New Bag, and.........3 Brand New 'TOUR ONLY' Odyssey Shirts
The Guys at AG were Mega Jealous, so gave the Dep. Manager, who helped me out, 1 of the Odyssey shirts
Brilliant ...... The way Customer Complaints should be dealt with :clap:
 
A few weeks ago I broke the shaft on my Callaway Diablo Edge Tour Driver, (my fault), and I bought a second hand Callaway Rip Tour Shaft which had been removed from a Razr Tour Driver.

I sent off to a club component supplier for a ferrule and when it arrived it was the wrong one. I sent off to another supplier and they also supplied one which didn't fit so I phoned Callaway asking them to identify the part number of the ferrule so I could make sure I got the correct one.

They asked for my address and two days later two ferrules arrived FOC with the compliments of Callaway. One was plain and the other had a silver band but importantly they both fitted perfectly.

I only have praise for their Customer Service would not hesitate to recommend their products to any fellow golfer.
