Just trying to work out the complete differences and the most suitable for a mid handicapper..

I can see the physical difference with the C-Grind, but is it an easier wedge to hit, wider sweet spot, more forgiving than the X-Tour ?

Anyone have any knowledge / experience on this ?

Thanks, Colin.

Um, I wouldn't know....and the Callaway web-site is up to it's normal dodgy antics.....C'mon Callaway....how hard is it?!!!

I have 2 Callaway wedges and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone with even the slightest flaw in their pitching. Why? (I hear you ask, I wasn't asking for this!), because they are 2 or 3 degrees more upright than any other on the market. This means to get the face flat, you have to stand closer, and then.........easiest wedge to SHANK ever made.

Great around the greens, too scary on full shots......

You have hit the nail on the head !! I have hit so many shanks with my two new wedges, so pi$$ed off with having spent £160.00 for a pair and not happy with them at all. I know my swing is basically ok, but I have no confidence in these clubs whatsoever.

So, do I bite the bullet and sell them on ebay and get new ones ? Might have a go at the Pro who recommended them to me.

I see GM has voted the PING wedges as the best.

Damn, you already have them.....whoops, sorry.

A pro will have no sympathy at all, I asked my pro and he said "what's a few degrees?" that's all very well coming from him, but a few cm closer to the ball (accidental) is potentialy fatal.....

sorry to hear your strife....
