Any idea when Callaway will be introducing their replacement for the XR line?

Read a thread on a different golf forum that they are keeping the XR name but wasn't sure how reliable that information was, was wondering if anyone has heard any rumours regarding this?

My Pro said that the new stuff was being released early in the new year and confirmed that the XR name was going to remain for this series

Ye heard that swell. There was actually a guy on a forum in America that claims to have purchased a new 2016 XR driver from eBay.

He had posted a link to the action site and had confirmed with his pro the club was genuine.

It did actually look really good if accurate, it is more blue and black rather than the red that was in this years version

Had a mooch at the current Callaway offerings in Silvermere on the way home tonight. I do like them and I'd look at them again if I changed. I asked the question about when most of the big manufacturers were due to release gear in 2016 and no-one seemed to know (or would say)

The Florida trade show is due in a few weeks where a lot of stuff is officially launched

Does anyone play the original XR gear at the moment?

I have been offered new XR fairways for £107 delivered from a pro shop which is a bit cheaper the £129 at most of the big online retailers.

With the 2016 stiff coming out at the end of February I am now thinking it may be even cheaper than that when the official announcement of the 2016 gear is made

I just bought driver, 3 wood (from AG @ £300 pair) and 4 hybrid (£90 eBay new) just before Christmas but haven't had a chance to play yet

I am considering buying 4 wood and 7 wood combo with the XR fairways. Currently play G25's but only seem to find myself using 3 wood of the tee maybe a couple of times a round so seems a bit of a waste of club.

Really struggle with it from the ground so will give a 4 wood a go and see if it would be a bit easier with the extra loft

See my signature below play nearly all xr range but find the xr hybrid and pro fairway very easy to hit also very forgiving.
