Yes this is another GPS thread, so if your bored of these already then dont read any further.

I have been reading up on these devices for a while and I happened to bump into an older gentleman who was bought one of these for his 70th birthday after dropping numerous hints to his son-in-law! I played the last 3 holes with him today and I may just swoop. I thought it was an impressive bit of kit!

I was mightily impressed with it and even more so when he told me the price. Its not an all singing all dancing makes you a cuppa model but for me it was ideal, easy to use and very easy to read as well as being dam accurate.

Has anyone on here got one of these or used one. I have the debit card at the ready!!!! It is a fantastic price.

Yep, I got one. Does a grand job and its less than half the price of most other models. You can buy them for 100 quid on their on line shop.

I been looking into those myself with the cheap price only downside i see is the expensive yearly fee or £10 a course

You do get 2 courses in the fee which if is enough its good value

I do like the look of it the display gives everything needed

£30 a year or £7.50 a course thats a total of 4 downloads a year, not too bad as I'm sure I will do at least that!

I really do mate. Just switch it on, select the course, lock keys and that's it, you dont have to press any more buttons untill you finish the round.

Best prezzie I have had from HID.

TC, its is £40 per year or £10 per course now but you can download as many as you want for your £40 but it only holds 10 courses .... My only gripe is that recently updated courses may not have been updated on there site.

TC,

can't sing the praises of mine enough. Very simple to use and now I wouldn't be without mine.

£40 for a year is a bit steep, but you do get the 2 free courses. I've just updated mine as I'm off to Machynys in the morning for a game.

It has definetly helped my game, the biggest challenge i've found is trusting the distance it says, not your eyes, which can be deceived way to often! Every time I start to think the distance is wrong,i.e, it looks a lot closer I end up coming up short.

Well worth getting.

John.
