Where's the best (cheapest) place for buying golf shoes these days? Anywhere have a good sale on or anything?

Brands I'd buy, would be Mizuno, Footjoy Sport, Nike Lunar or Adidas 360

Anyone have any knowledge they'd like to share?

I would try your local pro shops as they are bound to be clearing some out. Failing that the golf shops on Ebay will have what you are looking for. Ecco are my brand of choice

I've not tried Ecco before, I just know these other brands, so would feel more comfortable looking for them when buying off the Internet

Fair enough. I challenge you to find a more comfortable shoe than the Ecco Biom though. If you get chance to try a pair then do so. My comments for shops still apply to your choice of shoes

I agree.

Just bought a pair of Ecco Biom Hybrids for the summer today. Tried on loads of different shoes but these are just ridiculously comfortable.

I didn't think I'd ever try a more comfortable shoe than the Nike TW but these are on a different level altogether.

My shop in Omagh is virtually non existent, whereas I haven't found one in Leeds yet really. So rock and a hard place really. I'll definitely have a look at the Biom

Good to hear of another Ecco convert. You will not go wrong with them they really are like bedroom slippers

The street shoes are very comfortable. I have just thrown out a pair of expensive Ecco tour shoes, the sole detached from the uppers for the second time, I returned them after 8 months and the replaced pair have done exactly the same thing after another year. The leather was first class but the construction was lacking.

You're not wrong!! I made the mistake of trying those on first though and everything else (Ecco street, FJ street, Adidas etc) didn't come close, even remotely.

Great sale on at the local place aswell so got them for under a ton

And I paid most of that for you :D

Love my Ecco Street shoes - got them in August and have put more miles on them than any pair of golf shoes I've owned before - still top notch though I'm glad we don't get soggy ground here.

Love the fact that I can put them on and just head out of the house to play golf without having to change when I get to the course. Best money I've spent on golf equipment in years.

I know you didn't list them but I bought some puma cell fusion 3 shoes from Golfbase for £64.50 down from £129.99 last year. A cracking set of shoes with many colour options and they're so comfy
My 2p worth

I've 3 pairs of Ecco.

Bio m
Tour hydro max
Street

The build quality is far superior to any other shoes I've tried in the last 6 years and all are still waterproof .

All mine come from my local pro not the cheapest but if anything goes wrong he will sort any problems and no hassle of sending stuff back though the post.

Got a pair of Ecco myself while in the states last year nit the biom ones but mine are lined with goretex and made with yak leather!

super comfy and great for the weather we have in the north west :)

had ad some nike ones in the past and they were as waterproof as a sponge

I just bought a pair of Adidas Adipure Motion for £65 from Sports Direct, not bad for shoes that were around £150 rrp when released. Quite a few online retailers have them but only in the odd size that they are clearing so you have to have a good dig around.

I like the fact that the shoe inner is leather, hopefully negating the frequent adidas problem of the heel lining wearing away.
