So I bought a club on eBay over a week ago but the buyer has the option of pay on collection.

Now, I appreciate it is the Christmas period and people are busy etc. but I have messaged the buyer on more than one occasion now to arrange collection and I have had no reply at all. eBay is saying I have to wait until 20th Jan for the item to arrive/be collected. I haven't made any payment, which is probably a good thing if I'm waiting for another month for the item.

Any advice on what's the best thing to do guys? I'm half tempted to go and buy another of the item in question...

Private seller. All the feedback for previous sales is really good, 100%, including golf club sales so I find it strange how this one is proving to be difficult.

What happens if I do go and buy another club but then the seller gets in touch to arrange a collection? Does this mean I get the bad feedback?

The seller can't leave negative feedback, so you would be safe.
I think I'd message them a couple of times and leave at least a week, before I went elsewhere though

it might be xmas but i bet his phone in switched on in his pocket all day every day. I'd message him saying he has 24 hours to get in touch before you buy another club. then leave him negative feedback

If they have 100% so far then I would give it a while longer. Not impressive but you don't throw away a clean record easily so I assume they are just away rather than anything sinister. At this stage I would class it as an annoyance but nothing more.

I'm not one to kick off etc. but I've made contact more than once and also made contact before I clicked 'buy it now' to see where the seller was but never got any reply. It was purely the price that made me think, go on then, I'll buy it...

I think I would run. Can't deliver till Jan 20th sounds like a Chinese seller?!

Is/are the items new or used?

when I sell clubs I will not do anything until my seller pays but I would reply to messages

if you had paid instantly he might have sent by now he might have been holding off and now its got to late maybe he away now never know

Item is used with a few scuffs on the bottom. Seller has sold a few clubs recently and has bought golf items in the last month or so, which suggests to me the seller is a proper golfer, which makes me think this is strange that I am getting no replies!

Lost his phone? Broadband out and can't get an engineer? I'd be more minded to look to his 100% record and the time of year than something sinister at this stage.
