Been looking online for a vinyl.

Kungs v cookin on three burners ep.

ave had a good gander online and the on
y place I can find it is on Discogs which means it has to be imported from the continent. Is there anywhere in the uk that does/has it. Tried HMV and not a chance.

cheers everyone.

Vinyl has made a comeback of sorts, in a fashion statement kind of way IMO. So it's mainly new pressings that are making up the market.
If what you are looking for is even remotely rare then I doubt mainstream retailers will have it, some boutique sellers might either have it or source it but these tend to be small, local sellers.
Discogs is your best bet and most sellers are good with their gradings, I buy and sell loads through the market place and probably have had one duff buy from a few hundred. Likewise selling, over 800 sold and only one complaint (because I didn't state that the run in groove had a pop on it).
Importing on Discogs isn't bad, most of the stuff I buy comes from Holland and Germany.

Just order it from Discogs, I used to order loads of vinyl from US etc and it was fine, might take a few weeks but had a quick search on Juno etc but none on vinyl.

How bleedin' bizarre. Just this minute YouTubed Kungs v cookin on three burners - This Girl - first time I've heard it - and pretty darned good.

But immediately after listening it through I hear it still playing - eh? Then I realise it's on the radio I have on in the background - but I've got LBC talk radio on? But woa - It's the background music to an ad for Littlewoods on-line.

Funny old world of coincidences.

Thanks for the heads up on this track....now have it on my faves!!!

Jimbo

Basically when we heard it in Portugal on our jols it became a kind of holiday anthem for us. It was on a fair bit on the radio, usually tucked between Val Doonican and ABBA. When we have heard it since coming home the volume goes up and me ears start bleeding.

What???? no one????? nobody????

What on earth are you doing buying vinal (this is how it should be spelt). Good grief man surely it can be downloaded from somewhere? A nice clean sound...FOREVER !

Just off to hunker down now.......

Really like the original too.

Mine, it's a Pioneer Z 92 system, multi Cd, twin cassette, radio and gorgeous turntable. With the standard graphic equaliser. She is a thirty year old beast and like most thirty year old ladies, she is in her prime. Had a major a few years ago when the rubber band/ belt broke and I struggled to get one. Eventually bought two from Liverpool. Didn't ask where they had come from 😉
Love the system, went round to son in laws one day and he was clearing out, his system which was NI on identical to mine was being slung out. It is now in my man cave after a week of shifting everything and hanging shelves to make place. The speakers he gave me to go with it are massive. I can now have me own garage rave.

Got all my kit in 1996 so not quite as old as you guys but it's still good stuff. 2 SL1200s (mk2s), Allen & Heath 202 mixer running to a Marantz PM66 from the record level running a set of B&W DM302 monitor speakers and a Technics SU-A900 run off the master level to a set of B&W DM603 floor stands. I used to also run a set of 602s but too much for the current house.
When it's in full flow the sound reproduction is awesome, since I changed to Ortofon Concorde carts (Stanton are too flaky with any static at all) the sound imaging has been unreal. Every pop and hiss is reproduced perfectly.
