Bushnell neo ghost gps

I've had my bushnell neo ghost gps thing for a few months now, and there's a couple of things that I'm not quite happy with.

Firstly, when i power it up, it takes forever to load up & find courses - usually about 10 minutes, sometimes longer. Last week, it failed to find the course at all (2 attempts of about half hour each.)

And the Auto Off function turns the unit off after 30 mins - despite the fact it is not supposed to if it registers new hole info as i walk round the course.

Anyone else got the Ghost gps & experiencing this kind of thing with their unit?

I have one and quite like it.

Your first issue I sometimes get, what I normally do is to charge it overnight and unplug just before leaving for the course. It then remains switched on so when you arrive at the course it has full signal and picks up the course straight away.

The second issue never occurs to me, I don't have auto off function enabled mind!

I can see this as a solution of sorts, but its not really addressing the issue. Should the unit actually take 10 mins or more to "locate" itself? Is this normal? (eg, my old Skycaddie unit used to take just a few moments - turn it on, select the course then, hey presto, located in relation to hole 1 in a blink)
