Just wondering which course at Burhill you folks would recommend I play at the end of August. I know they're very different courses, but if you had to compare each to another course, which ones would they resemble? Will the weather make any difference to the playabilty (baked ground, dodgy bounces, etc.).

Anything else I need to know?

Thanks in advance.

I haven't played the Old, hopefully doing that next month, but I've played the New twice now. The New is an OK course, not the best course I've ever played, but it's a good challenge. Last time I played was a charity day, scheduled for the Old, but they decided to hollow tine the day before, so closed the Old and moved us onto the New....... In fact both times we've arranged to play there, we thought we were playing the Old, only to be changed at the last minute. The Old certainly looks nicer from the holes I saw driving through the estate, if I had the choice between the two, I'd plumb for the Old based on it's reputation alone (http://www.top100golfcourses.co.uk/htmlsite/productdetails.asp?id=373). Hoping we'll be third time lucky next month......

Played the Old yesterday. Everyone I speak to who has played both always, without fail says the Old is the better of the 2.

Thanks so far, folks.

Old Course is winning at the mo, which is kind of the way I was leaning, but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.
