Bunkered????

Have just come back form the pub and at the bar was a copy of the latest bunkered mag. As a golf fanatic I looked through it. Before anyone deletes this its only an observation. Its the first time Ive seen this mag and thought it was good. Some good articles and features. I am a subscriber of GM and enjoy it but will also keep an eye on bunkered. If I have a spare 3.70 then I may purchase it in the future.

Anyone else here read it. Or is it only Scottish based?

Only a Scottish based mag as far as I'm aware but I have seen it and it usually a decent read.

Its usually a decent enough read however it does have a tendency to repeat itself and review the same things year on year.

It offers something a little different to the GM GW & TG!

I had a flick thru it today in the opticians whilst HID was getting her eyes zapped, it is a Scottish mag and has some good bits in it. I would NEVER buy it though ... cough .. sputter.

Had a flick through it in the dentist the other week, not sure why a scottish mag was in a dentist in hertford but I thought it was pretty similar to how golfpunk used to be.

What happened to golfpunk?

the "new" issue of golf punk is supposed to be out in the next week or so - they haven't published in 6 months. £ troubles so the story goes.

Bunkered has never made it this far South I dont think, I for one have never heard of it

Bunkered is primarily a Scottish based mag. Some excellent green fee savings to be had. http://www.bunkered.co.uk/

It was a choice between a sub to Bunkered or Golf Monthly and i went for Golf Monthly, purely because there's more variation and the reviews in Bunkered just seemed to be lifted directly from manufacturers marketing blurb, rather than actually tested by different standards of golfer as in Golf Monthly.
