I've just been up the club for a bit of chipping practice (see Homer, it does happen :D) and was practicing out of all different lies and while in some particularly nasty rough I came across a Top Flite ball so I thought I'd chip it. It's been a long time since I even so much as touched a ball like that and oh my god I'd forgotten how hard they are. They really are like hitting rocks aren't they? I was going to smack it down the practice ground but I was scared I would dent the face of my 9i!!!!

I can't believe I actually used to play whole rounds with those things. Thank god for Premium balls is all I can say :D

Doesn't compare to a Dunlop DDH. It hit one with my driver and it was like in them cartoons when the character shatters and leaves the club in place

LOL :)

I know what you mean. 99% rock, 1% surlyn.

I find some "brands" make range balls seem like balatas.

Did you find the pace a bit lively? It was like lino there last night so hopefully the rain earlier has taken the heat out of them. I was chipping from by the practice net to the top end flags and it just kept running. Putts were slippery too. Played a few holes tonight and the greens aren't too bad. I found a DT solo and hit that into a green. Not the same as a Topflite I grant you, but was surprised how much stop it gave
