Budget Airlines!

I have just booked a flight to Spain on SleezyJet (just slightly less awful than Ryanair). I had to print out my own boarding pass and will have to carry my own baggage to the plane. They will be expecting us to pilot the friggin' aircraft for them next! :mmm:

Air NZ which is certainly not Budget has you print your own boarding passes .

I do find air travel these last few years , even with the airport security so much less hassle.

On the easy jet front, I believe you can download it all on your smartphone. When we went skiing this year all boarding passes for outward and homeward leg done before we went and so easy to Check in online theses days.

I use Easyjet all the time. Never had to carry my own luggage to the plane. Unless you are talking hand luggage, which seems to have a clue in the wording.

Can you ever do anything without having a moan Derek , when I travel to Ireland , spain or the Algarve , its just a quick flight and I just get on and get off , but longer distance to Hong kong , Malaysia Philippines I travel with Cathay Pacific , Premium Economy or Business Class as I like the comforts , and you do pay extra but if you going to spent most of the day on there then its best you pay extra , the old sayin you get what you pay for , how is howdidido ....................................EYG

As a frequent flyer can I say that easyjet are not that bad, 1 use your smartphone for a boarding pass,2 you can always get one at the airport and they don't charge you, well not in Edinburgh or Bristol.
BA now charges for luggage as well,and you can print your boarding pass with them as you can with most major airlines

I've always found them very helpful whereas you are just a nuisance to Ryanair, they are always the last resort. Oh and I hate that bloody stupid fanfare for being on time. Of course you're on time, you generally will be if you allow 4 hours for a 3 hour flight.

Quite right mate , I find if you pre check in , then just over an hour is fine , 4 hours before , they having a laugh at us , some don't even open the check in gates till 3 hours before

I've successfully tried to avoid Ryanair since I saw them not seem to care that mother and young child could not sit next to each other as they had not pre-booked seats. Yes they did board last, but the flight assistants were more concerned with getting them seated anywhere and not next to each other and ensuring they departed on time, than making any effort to see if anyone wanted to move so they could sit together.

Luckily common sense prevailed and a few passengers volunteered to move so they could sit together, but the flight assistants seemed to not give a toss. But it left a very sour taste in my mouth and they have had no money from me since.

I've used them a few times and have had no complaints. I think they have managed to pull off the trick in being a budget (ish as some times by the time you add up all the costs it is just as cheap, and often more convenient to fly with a major carrier) airline but not making you feel like dirt or screwing you for every penny they can get out of you. Quite like Flybe as well as they are much the same.

I have been in this position with Ryan Air. After pointing out they they had probably not CRBd those that they wanted my children to sit next to (and of course I bigged up the commercial risk), they manged to miraculously get us seats together.
