(Bubba) You have to wonder about a sport that asks.....

ESPN did a survey recently with 103 PGA Pros. One of the questions has become the gossip talking point of the week.

"_______ is in a fight in the parking lot. You're not helping him."

Bubba Watson has come out as the most popular name for the _______ with 23 out of 103 Pros naming him as the guy whos going to take a car park kicking.

Now the press will ask what they will ask but I do think its a very strange question to ask an athlete. However I think its very very sad that 103 pros answered the question. Surly they should have just passed?!

Is it that Bubba does not fit in with the crowed as he is a little more current than is liked on the tour or is he a nob? I recall some guys on here coming up against him when he was playing up a hole adjacent to them and him being a little brash. Is this the kind of thing he is renowned for? Does he practice with an huge support crew in tow?

He has answered questions about the survey and said he needs to become better as a man.... Surly someone who says something like this is not that much of a nob?

Thoughts?

Totally agree. I heard his interview on the radio this morning.

He said that he himself was one of those who put his name down and said 'if I've done something bad to make someone angry then I deserve it'

Came across like a thoroughly decent chap.

Like you say, its a ridiculous question to ask

I like watching him play, but there's no doubt he's a bit of an idiot. Look up what happened at the French Open in 2011. He's famously rude to spectators, often ignoring children asking for an autograph or a wave during practice rounds, he whines very often about things he should take on the chin. He's not a typical "professional", and never will be. Doesn't really bother me though, the golf he plays makes it irrelevant, he's still one of the best players to watch. Surprised he topped that poll too, thought Patrick Reed would have been nailed on to win that.

Bear in mind that these could have been friends having a joke such as Fowler. The fact that Allenby is in the poll tells me that it was meant to be a funny answer following Hawaii.

Ahh ok, I guess I did not know that... Shame.

some pretty strange questions, follows along with the way some of the US golf press seem to be going following on from the satire Woods interview and some of the strange golf pics they have been publishing later.

Bubba is a tool, only a tool shouts at golfers who shout "FORE" after a stray shot. Even many of the media think he's a tool. I witnessed the shout and heard the media comments.

I can't stand him either. Seems to blame noises in the crowd after every bad shot.

To be fair Martin.. Anyone who can't hit that fairway off that tee deserves to be shouted at........ :D

Is this in reference to the warm up round when some forum members where teeing off as he was walking up the other fairway last year?

It was a force 1 breeze, I'll have you know.

Don't think it made the papers.

For clarity, I would have hit my shot whether it was Bubba or an ordinary golfer on that fairway. They are adjacent fairways, and I think 95% of golfers tee off when others are on the other fairway. My reliable fade wasn't in evidence, unusually.

He didn't stay around for me to give him a signed glove, the big coward.......:)

What happened then?
