Bryson DeChambeau - New Putting Style

Most have probably already seen as its done the rounds all day, not seen it mentioned on here so whats your initial thoughts? Looks crazy but I'm sure he's got some 'science' behind it.

It got mentioned on here a while ago iirc, or at least rumours he was going to do it.
I can't watch him play, it's painful to my eyes 😢

Something similar was used by Sam Snead years ago, but with a different split handed grip and a more crouched over posture. There are claimed to be some advantages to this style, including a binocular view of the hole which gives better depth perception and therefore distance control. I have come across a few Senior golfers who putt this way, usually as a cure for the yips.

Nah, he switched to putting like that when they banned him from the croquet putting that he'd adopted. All just looks wrong......bit like left handers

No, he's a renown rubbish putter.

I remain to see the proof of the pudding with this style in competitive play especially if he's in contention. Can't see it working, can't see him using it long term

There are no pictures on a Scorecard - if it works for him (or he thinks it does) that's fine by me.

As long as a stroke is legal that's all that counts for me.

My putting is pretty dire on occasions due to astigmatism and varifocal lenses so I might give it a go next time I'm solo.
