Anyone at the Bruce gig last night? absolute
legend, I'm not the biggest Paul Mccartney fan
but when he came on at the end to perform I
saw her standing there and Twist and shout with
the boss, epic! Then westminster council turn
the sound off, unbelievable, it really doesn't
bode well for the olympics.

I wasn't there but heard about it. Bruce is known for breaking the curfew and paying the fine so wonder if the council was ready for it. How did they physically do it though?? Did the microphones and amps stop working and the lights go out?

He had just finished Twist and shout, and he was 'faded out'. I am a huge Bruce fan and admit he somewhat takes the proverbial as far as curfews are concerned, but to my mind it was only 10.45pm on a saturday night, the volume of the show was very low (relatively) but I still think it was churlish to end the concert so abruptly. If the audience weren't such well behaved middle class old people I think it could have got nasty!

Also a big fan and love the fact he breaks curfews as it usually means he's kind of lost in the moment and having a ball. Shame on the council...

Fine, but the council had roads closed so 75,000 people would not be pouring onto the pavements at the end. How long are they supposed to hold the roads closed for? Til he decides to wrap it up? What about people trying to drive home from work? Don't they have any rights?

He had 3 hours and more for his concert. He had plenty of time to finish it, if he had wanted to.

Not my cup of tea but my colleague went with her husband, she is 60 and goes to lots of this sort of thing all year but said she found it a bit much with the crowd this time.

Think it stayed dry did it?
