Our course has changed form BRS to intelligent golf. The lads in the shop love it coz it makes there life easier re comps.

Bottom line for us new "intelligent" golf users.

IT IS CRAP.

The bloody thing is a complete and utter shower of cakilikepoopoo. If it is not crashing, it is to complicated.

Mr intelligent web designer. Guess what, not every golfer is bloody Bill gates.

No no wonder some people do not like internet bookings. Your system is crap. We have gone from a seamless booking system to your over priced Rammel.

Rant over. :sbox:

Nothing wrong with IG - works very well and there is a reason why all the tops clubs move to it

I suspect as with any system move it’s all about teething problems and having something that’s new and different

Oh and IG itself is cloud based and doesn’t crash - it’s housed within the same Data Centres as Amazon servers which have an availablity of 99%

We changed to IG from an offering linked into HDID, think it might have been club 2000. Have to say IG is brilliant in comparison. We only book for comps but I’ve never had an issue, through the website. Even the software in the club seems pretty good for score entry, and booking.

We moved to IG about 2 years ago....so much better than HDID before it. So simple to use

Booking a tee time takes three times longer at least than on BRS.

looking at comp results is more complicated.

How can there be teething problems if the system is tried and trusted.

if the old system worked without crashing, how can a new system that is installed by the pros not be compatible, surely they knew what server it was working with.

how can a brilliant system give a player 3 extra points on his hcap for a nine hole comp only for the club shop lads to have to manually input the correct scores the day after for EVERYONE.

How comes we now only have two divisions in our comps now according to the intelligent golf system.

How comes the guys who bought the system are now bogged off coz they were not informed of system problems, which intelligent golf knew about but never said owt.
Said problems re system were supplied by other clubs.

might work at your place but there is not a member at our place that has took to it yet.

Ironically one of the guys in the shop said the app is good. Brilliant, but you cannot log in/ register a comp on your app or log your days score on the app.

At the moment it is rubbish.

Sounds like it is an implementation problem....IG genuinely is so easy to use, and the IG smartphone app makes it even easier if your club enrol for it.

If the club haven’t informed IG of the issues, then it is your club’s fault. It should be tested before going live to ensure anything is worked out.

Having switched to it this year have been-
It keeps crashing particularly with the score input part of the system.
Email is really slow
Most of the guys hate the fact that it does not have a month/year view on the booking system and you have to go to a particular date to see what is on.

This weekend has been our first live comp booking in weekend and so far so good.

how are you inputting scores?

We we have never had it crash whilst entering them.

agree on the tee time viewing that you can only check a day rather than a month.

I had a query which I relayed through the app. The director got back to me in 5 minutes at 9pm on a Saturday night. Weren’t expected. But shows customer service is there.
I guess it also depends on what sort of features of IG your club implements. Apart from the booking of social tee times which are done through another site. We have everything else, club minutes, offers, handicap history, inputting of social round scores which the committee can see, and aids annual review. stats, diary, club messenger, directory, PayPal payment system. On top of that really smart and quick touch screens for inputting comp scores.

Not many will have a bad thing to say about the system, especially if you have come from HDID and club 2000.

Not a single thing. SB, should this of come from the club, or been provided by IG for the members ?

We've been provided with help guides by the club. BB score entry last weekend for the men was problematic.

We are still on BRS for everyday golf booking. Comp booing with IG is so easy though.

On you tube there are loads and loads of videos showin you how to do things on IG

They don’t do sessions for members because they found that people just slated them so the admins can visit and get sessions

I produced loads and loads help guides for members

It sounds like Tashy club the issues are with the club and implementation of the system as opposed to the system itself

It is so easy to use

And for the PSI - if it’s crashing then you can ask for a replacement or there is an issue with the internet in the club

I don’t understand what you mean by saying looking at Comp scores is complicated ? And adding shots on HC’s ? That’s again not the system but the administration

And teething probs - any new system going in will have teething probs mainly with people not used to the system

How long has it been in ? A couple of weeks at a guess - it’s the same when we upgraded from CS ( and it is a massive upgrade ) - we had people complaining like mad and didn’t like it but they didn’t even give it a chance.

Overall it’s a superb system for both club management and for a member

Used both, and IG is much better imo!

HDID was quite 'modern' when it was developed, but, because it is produced from a requested extract/transfer/load of data from the 'master' system, cannot be relied on to be up-to-date against the 'master' system, whereas IG, which always uses the 'master' data, can. That alone makes me prefer IG!

Last Thursday after entering the competition there was no 'tick box' for 'enter score'. some players got it but a lot of others did not no matter how many times the logged out and in.
