Hi All, I am new to the forum and would really appreciate a little help. I have been playing for around a year and I am improving at a reasonable rate however I am having trouble with what wedges to use.I recently borrowed a Bronty Super Wedge and got on quite well with it however I am told there is also a Bronty Wanaer Wedge can any body tell me the difference between the two. Many Thanks

Sorry never heard of them. Are some sort of specialist wedges.? Like the alien

After a quick search on the net.

Bronty were a Leeds based manufacturer, they ceased production around the year 2000.

Although there still seem to be new clubs available on ebay (the Legend range), but I'd guess that these are produced in the Far East if they are new.

Best known for putters, wedges and chippers. I had a putter myself in my first set.

The Super wedge is almost two heads, one to strike the ball and one to provide a huge sole, making it appear like two clubs welded together. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bronty-Golf-Super-Wedge-Degree/dp/B00KHYBOMC

The Wonaer wedge is more of a traditional looking club.

I know a guy who has great success from bunkers and sand with a Ben Hogan one that is rather similar!

I have a Bronty (blade with Brass spot in mid-point) putter that was rther nice - just not my style!

Nothing particularly special about the brand - which did close - so go check out some of the 'value' offerings. It's one of the things Sports Direct actually seems to me to be pretty good at - I'm no 'label snob'!
