Went out this morning @ Wycombe Heights Golf Course with a friend from work. Teed off at 0730hrs, not expecting anything to big as my last 6 rounds have all been over 100.

My playing partner had a bit of a bad leg so we got a buggy which I don't really do, so that was more relaxed rather than walking around.

The round consisted off 8 Pars in total including the 2 Par 5's, last time out here hit 10's on both! So I was happy with that.

Driving was alot better, only 3 fairways hit but the rest were only just in the rough. Probably averaged 220yds of the tee. Nearly drove the green on the 11th, 315yds. I got a nice bounce of the side of a hill! 7 Greens in Regulation (38.89%), 3 from the 3 fairways hit. I was hitting my Vokey 54 really well, still waiting to see some back spin though!

Only one 3 Putt, the rest were 2 putts apart from 2 where I had chipped close to the pin and got in for 1.

In total I went round in 87. Very happy with my round. Par 3's seem to be my down fall at the moment. Havn't hit a Par 3 green in ages!

The course was in very good condition, the greens were very fast. The only bad thing about the course at the moment is that they are having problems with a local neighbour, where his house runs up the side of the Par 4 6th. He's complained about balls going in his garden. They have currently turned it into a Par 3 of 150yds. About where you would playing your 2nd shot from. Apparently it's gone to court, hopefully this is only temporary. I wait to find out.

I track my handicap on Golfshake, that has dropped from 25.2 to 22.7.

Good round, good weather, 1 happy man.

Get in! Good result mate. Get up to my club for a game and try and do the same. I'm free for the next several weeks.

87 is a very good score.

Cheers guys, my goal was try and get to 20 by the end of the year.

I'm seriously thinking of investing in some new irons now though.

HTL, Homer we will have to try and sort something out again.

Imurg, yes the fairways are quite fast but so are the greens.

With regards to the 18th, the closer I've been is just behind the bottom right hand bunker. When I hit it I did think it could be on the green though, I was hoping!
