par 68 with one par 5,
Longest hole on front 9 - 342yds
well done on shooting 10 over, good achievement but the link above puts some context on it. Now breaking 80 on Gullane 1, would be a significant achievement.

Very good reply  Totally agree with that.
Maybe the wine has made me a touch sensitive but; You seem to have gone out of your way to shoot the OP down with the pretence of a complimentary opening which turns out to be extremely patronising. Why?
Sorry pal but whatever bitterness in life you carry, the SSS and declared yardage has minimal bearing to be quite honest given the course. It's a links with 67 bunkers. There are 5 Par 3’s, two of which are 170+, bogey 3 of em and that’s 7 shots to play with over 13 holes. And given the wind comment, i'd imagine that some of the holes played longer, whilst others shorter, making conditions interesting. Yes, it's a straight, short course but for a 15 capper to hit consistently like that and score +10 its kinda irrelevant, it's good going and bodes well for confidence on whatever course YOU class as sufficient to your high standards. Luckily, the OP isn't playing to please you. We all didn't pop out of the womb a world no.1 you know....
A pointless, negative post that reflects only on you so don't bother coming back saying "did I say...." etc
I'd love to shoot a 78 (PB 84, SSS 70, Par 71), SSS 66 or 69. Couldn't careless, it's called consistency and for 18 holes, the OP has had it and is as happy as a fat kid in a sweet shop. Respect that.
