Evening all, finally broke 100 mark again been there and there abouts,103,101 but today only in a friendly shot 99 such re-assurance that I can do.Roll on getting below 100 in comps.:)

You have to try and not focus on the barrier in comps and let the scorecard take care of itself. Clearly the game is coming and with a bit of improved course management, some work on the short game and a few putts going it, 95 is doable. Relax, play your game without worrying about the comp and it will happen

Well done. Not to rain on your parade but was it off the same tees that are used for comps? Focus on getting the ball in play from the tee and also look at holing a few putts, do that and you will be amazed at how the scores tumble

Its a nice feeling when you break a goal. One of mine is to shoot sub 90 in a comp, I did 91 yesterday, would have been 89 but I lipped a birdie putt from 6ft then missed the 8 inch par putt:rolleyes: Its getting there though, six months ago I was struggling to beat 100. Like Homer says stick with it and try to forget about your card, it will come!

Great advice, myself and my playing partner have stop keeping count until the last hole, removes any pressure of thinking, I need 12 over the next 2 hours to break 100 etc etc

First time I broke 100 was with a 92. I was on for 89 but fluffed my tee shot on the 18th. I'm yet to play to that level again lol

I have my first ever sub 100 card in front of me - 96 on 2nd July.
There are 7 x 7's on the card - they would have been mostly down to poor putts.
I used to practice the driver at the range.
Now I practice chipping and putting at our practice green!
