Taken last Saturday afternoon. Glorious conditions. Strange crossover of 4th & 11th holes on Melbourne course at Brocket Hall GC plus the iconic 18th over the river Lea where access to the green is found using the mechanised raft to the left of the fairway/green.

Nice pics, one of my fav courses, partly in that if im playing there invariably im playing with my dad. 3 cracking holes especially when theyre played as crossovers (sometimes in winter they switch the greens of the 2 holes ). Often struggle off the tee at 4 leaves me a long way in, 16 (not 11) can be a brute if the pin is tucked up behind the trap on the left onto the top tier and 18 one of my fav holes that I seem to play well most times (and have eagled a few times).

Funny story playing into 16 once and I decided to hit it at the white spec on the right hand side and draw it in, hit it pretty straight directly at my aim point. Turns out the white spec was a bride having some post wedding photos down by the bridge lol

Sorry, you're right it was 16, not 11. Great story about the bride. There was a wedding there on Saturday, group had hired Auberge du Lac for 100+ guests & the Hall in front of 18th. We didn't hit any of the guests I'm pleased to say :whoo: Weather so nice we ended up playing the front nine again afterwards.

BTW, pin was placed behind the bunker on left of 16 & yes it was virtually impossible to near in two. Tip for 4th, try pushing your tee shot 300 yards over tee trees on the right 5 yards short of the river. Only leaves a wedge into the green lol
