Anybody watching this? We didnt see the first series but are watching the second. Would be interesting to get peoples thoughts as to whether it is better / worse than the first series.

I loved the first, downloaded it on Sky and watched the entire series over 2 or 3 nights. Planning to do the same with the 2nd series but heard reports it's nowhere near as good :(

its ok, a bit over dramatic at times and probably 2 episodes too long

i dont know what all the fuss is about this show, first series was slow and got tedious, and the worst police investigation ever, started to watch second series but half way throgh first show had to turn it off, silent witness for me sorry.

It's jumped the shark a bit. Really enjoyed the first series, struggling a bit with this one as I don't really care what the outcome is. Where add I was totally invested in the story in the first series.

Enjoyed the first series. Finding this one a little hard to follow, also cant understand much of what David Tennant says.

You really must watch the first series to get to grips with all the characters. You'll love it.

But if he's seen the start of the 2nd then there is absolutely no point at all in watching the 1st and its whole selling point and reason it was so talked about was the tension over not knowing who killed Danny. And having watched the second series he knows.

Watched the first series and was massively disappointed with the ending.. One of those where you say "It better not be him now after that"..
I've started watching the second series and it looks like they've got a regular "Twist" meeting set up where they try and come up with ever more ludicrous plot twists just to keep everyones interest.. I'm half expecting a Great White Shark attack next week just to spice things up.. It's like an American daytime soap at times...

I will direct you back to re read my post.

Ah but does he ?? - I think it's the vicar wot done it.

Well yes. But the whole climax of the 1st series was the arrest and the naming of the person that (we thought) had done it. The fact that this may now be unraveling in the second series still to me makes it pointless watching the first series as you know who this person was. But hey ho. The Legacy on Sky Arts is much better anyway. ;)

I watched Series 1 (enjoyed) and am watching Series 2 (not so enjoying). Really irritated by the shouty ott defence lawyer and not sure what the point is. For me the intertwined story lines = split and reduced viewer focus and lessening of tension/uncertainty/suspense - and hence interest. But will persevere.

SPOILERS!

I thought last night's episode was really excellent, moved the story along a bit. The Ashworth's look decidedly dodgy but i'm sure there'll be a couple more twist and turns before the story finishes!

I didnt see the point of the woman from birds of a feather either.
