Following on from our best British XI we have seen, this would be an eleven I wish I'd seen play. Again it's really hard as there are so many contenders and I could make a number of teams up but this side has some like Labone and Radford who were underrated or overlooked in all time lists (imo)

Gordon Banks
Jack Charlton
Emlyn Hughes
Brian Labone
Johnny Giles
Ian Callagahan
Billy Bremner
Johnny Haynes
Bobby Charlton
Martin Peters
John Radford

Is that not really exactly the same as a best British 11 .....
The premis of the 1st thread was that you have had to have seen them play. This extends to players you haven't seen but have heard about. In my case the only players I have seen from Homers team is Callaghan and Hughes, the rest were before me.

It is a slight tweak to the original thread but it does allow a little more creativity.

Rather than individual players I would have to say the Spurs team of 1960-61. Since that team was the best in the country at that time, it would be interesting to see how they compare to the teams of today.
