British Masters

Have got tickets for the thursday (sky free ones) trying to find details of travel / parking arrangements, have looked on Woburns website and Euro Tour but cant seem to find anything that relates to travel / parking. Was going to get the train from Nottingham if there was a shuttle service from nearest station which I assume is Luton or could drive. Any help appreciated

Woburn is within easy striking distance of the M1 by car, I would have thought Milton Keynes would be closest by train, not sure about shuttles tho'

Nearest main line station is MK - Woburn Sands has one but that's on the Bletchley line - have seen any mention of shuttles from stations.

Your best way is to drive on the M1 - junction 13 and follow signs to Woburn. Plenty parking around the course

Apparently parking near the ground will be free. I suspect there will be the usual AA road signs directing you to the car parks and shuttle bus to the course from there.

Assume there will be parking and shuttles being run from the main Woburn estate. Pretty sure they said parking would be free but hadnt released details

If you are getting the train into MK on the thursday and need a lift up to the course drop me a pm as also heading up there that day

Great to see this event back and we'll done for Poulter for hosting it. I've said for a while it would be good to have another ET event in the UK.......would have been better ooooop North though

Really looking forward to it. As said, another English based tournament is much needed. For those looking to travel/stay over the Milton Keynes South Premier Inn (just off the A5) is relatively close-by.

Hi guys - long time no speak!

Just a friendly word of warning re:accom for British Masters. We were down there this week and spoke with the directors of golf who said that hotels are pretty much all fully booked close by with some Rugby on during the same week and obviously people coming from all over for the golf.

If you are planning on going (and you should, it will be a great event), worth trying to sort somewhere to stay sooner rather than later!!

As a slight aside...

I played at close house last week, lee Westwood was there along with the owner, a course designer and a rep from the European tour. It seems they are gearing up to play host when its westwoods turn in 2017.

Love or loathe the course, but I get the impression it would be great for golf in the north east.

My advice would be to probably try and leave it at the mates, pick it up later and get a later train. Not sure there will be too many places for bag storage but I may be wrong (frequently it seems on here)
