Evening all

After seriously getting the bug for golf this summer, I'm massively interested in going to the British masters this year. After doing a bit of research I know it's at the grove. About an hour and 40 minutes for me. But after searching for tickets I can't really find any information on when they are released and what sort of price I'm looking at. Anybody been in previous years? When roughly do the tickets go on sale? What should I expect from the day cost wise, few drinks bit of food etc.

Cheers guys

Expect the tickets to be circa £40 a day (based on PGA prices) and food/drink onsite tends to be quite pricey. Nothing to stop you taking sarnies and drink with you although possibly not alcohol.

Oh.....and don't forget to wear golf gear ;)

The British Masters returned last year after a 7 or 8 year break, I would expect tickets to go on sale in early summer and based on the BMWPGA Wentworth prices, should be about 30-40 for a 1 day ticket , cheaper on the thursday, more expensive on the weekend.

I think Sky Sports will be heavily involved with sponsoring the event and coverage, considering the success of last year, so Im hoping they will be doing the free ticket offer on the Thursday for sky customers,so if you have Sky or know someone who has look out for this.

The Sky Sports offer was excellent. I got a couple of tickets last year but was unable to go so I gave them to two lads at my club. They had a great time. I hope Sky repeat it again this year.

I went last year, got a week pass for £50 and my old man got his for £25. I just went on the Thursday & Friday but definitely got my monies worth.
There was loads of food and drink available and prices weren't terrible (but quite high).
I intend doing similar this year.

Loved the Thursday at Woburn for the British masters, weather was gorgeous tickets were free.
not sure selwood but someone will tell you/us, but last years masters was Ian Poulters, think this years is Luke Donald's, for four years an English pro is the figurehead..

Get yourself there mate. Really good event last year. Great Atmosphere. I was lucky enough to get in the grandstand on the 18th for the final day. I played the Grove recently and it will make a great course to be a spectator.

Me and my old man are planning on going this year. Although we are likely to go on the Saturday as midweek traffic on the M3 is horrendous apart from between the hours of 10am and 2pm!

I'll be going on pro-am day. Bit worried about how the local roads will cope as they seem quite tight from memory and the entrance was a long drive over a bridge (controlled by traffic light) so I can see delays.

Definately going, just unsure of what day to go for. Tempted to go on pro-am day as I'm assuming it won't be as busy but there will still be plenty of golf to watch. Looks ideal to go and experience my first live event
