Hi everyone. Out of interest has anyone played brighouse bay golf course
In the Dumfries/Galloway area?. I'm going there on holiday and I'm gonna try nd play a few times :)

Played there a few years ago, decent track with some nice holes.
There's a beast of a par 5 into the wind usually. Nice par 3 over the cliff to a sloping green.

Think they do a 3 round deal which is good value.

Buggies available which we used so we could get 2 in rounds a day.
Definately worth playing seen as your staying there!

Played it a few times, got a wee holiday home down that neck of the woods.

I really like it, but I'd suggest a buggym it's quite hilly in places.

Stand out holes are 3/5/7 & 15, but the rest of pretty good too, greens are usually excellent.

they do a two course deal of £30 with Kirkcudbright GC, which is also decent.

Played there last year with my old man...a lovely course location (cliff top links) but played in foul weather & it was a very hard long slog. I'd love to play it again in good weather. They had a good deal with Kirkcudbright GC which was a good parkland course (hilly & quirky but well maintained) that I have to say I prefered to Brigehouse. Think a 2 round ticket was about 30 notes
