Whats your take on them?

Seen a guy on the bay selling 70 used bridgestone balls for 36 quid including pnp. The likes of the Pro V everyone is bidding on them so really its hard to pick up a good deal on them, may as well just get them from the likes of JJB's.

From what i seen of the bridgestone there seems to be a mix of 3/4 different models..

Was thinking about buying them to try out.. not that i play to a level that will make much difference yet anyways but might help in some parts of my game plus i tend to hold onto a ball now for a few rounds at least lol..

I will heartily recommend the bridgestone b330s balls though they are in the premium range. One bit of advice I would offer is to use new or as close to new as possible, ebay balls could be years old and porous.

Hi Hendy
Im off 25 and have just started using the bridgestone RX and find it a great ball, its a bit on the pricy side but lasts well and I drive well with it and its good around the greens as well. Ask your club pro if he would be willing to let you try a sleeve before splassing out on a full box thats what mine did.

I used some a while back, can't remember what model but they came in a blue box, and they were very nice & spun beautifully.

I'd recommend them, but not necessarily 2nd hand ones.

I was going to give the E5+ a go. Should retail at £28, but everywhere seems to be selling them for £20.

Apparently they have relatively low driver spin, whilst having relatively high wedge spin, and a soft feel. Also better for slower swing speeds.

I'd love to use Pro Vs or Z-Stars all the time, but cost is an issue, and I'm still hunting for that ball that I like for the summer.

B330, can't recommend them enough. Just as good as the pro v, maybe a little bit more spin and cheaper. :)

Played with the E5+ tonight for the first time. I still hook the ball, but that's not the balls fault, it's mine. However the approach shots were very good for the price. One hop and then it stopped dead! It was my putting that let me down as I came very close to nailing a few gross birdes. But the balls behaved very well. At £20 a dozen, comparable to Trispeeds etc. I'd stick with them for now.

I suppose I should try some DX2s at some stage.

Played the B330-s for 8 months now and think it is a fantastic ball, not too soft or too hard

In the last couple of weeks have tried countless balls just to have a look nothing comes close well maybe the z stars

On a another note i got a sleeve of DX2 and PX3's from people comments on here and i dont like them

When struck feels nice and soft if not a bit heavy, then when it hits the green it does not stop the complete opposite of the NOP which feels firm then nips up

B330RX can be found easily enough for £28 or £29, they are a great ball & to my thinking second only in the feel stakes to the new Srixon Z-Star balls not to mention cheaper than the Srixon balls.

The e+ series fly well, perform well, but to my thinking are just too hard for most occasions, unless the wind gets up, especially the e+7 balls. £19 - £20

A compromise is perhaps the Treosoft. Slightly better feel than the Srixon Softfeel & cheap. They putt quite nicely but ironically I don't think that are a patch on the e series when it comes to using wedges or irons for sheer performance even though the e series are bullets in comparison. Treosoft can be found for around £13 - £14 in most shops that stock them, if you are being charged more than you can easily shop around for them.

So on 5the question, are Bridgestone balls any good? then yes they are. & yes I would & do buy Bridgestone balls

But would I buy reconditioned & lake balls, the answer is a diffinitive no.

But do buy New ones. & the 330 RX is a great ball for the average amatuer.

I play the B330s and love them, expensive for my handicap but great off the big stick with little spin, super spin off the wedges and great feel off the putter.

All round its my fav ball at the moement - but for some reason I sem to be the only one that plays them on my course.

ended up getting them lol

Seem to be lake balls most of the 70 are made up for E5+ and 6+ then the rest just under 30 are B330. I played over the weekend with the E5+ i did like them seems good enough. Dont think they are as good as the pro v's i had been using but at that price i sure they will do my job rightly for a this coming summer.
