Just back from my first fitting of any sort and as it was a freebee it was driver only but it was interesting.

I had a few warm up shots and then hit my own ball, Srixon Soft Feel, and he talked me through the numbers.

Swing speed average was 98.7mph with a ball speed of 133.3mph.

Launch angle was 16.1, back spin rate 1753, side spin rate 205 and average distance of 233.

He explained the ideal numbers with my swing speed were 146.1mph, 12.8 la and 2476 back spin.

He suggested a three piece ball, the e6, and even though I put some terrible swings on it he got my launch down to 14.8 with everything else hovering around the same.

Got a couple of e6s to try on the course and once I burn through my collection of Soft Feels I'll be sticking to three piece balls around the e6 level to see if they really do help my consistency.

I'd recommend anyone to try out a fitting if possible, it's really interesting to see the results.

I've used Bridgestones for two years now. I don't use anything else out of choice, only an odd pick up if I'm having a bad Lund and lost a ball or two. B330 RXS = great ball.

I got fitted yesterday, tourb330 for me. Swing speed was 118 mph on average, but was getting quite a lot of side/back spin, so was recommended a slightly harder ball. I played with it yesterday and was impressed, though ball strikes with the wedges aren't as smooth as it would be with a pro-v etc.

I'd swap for a Pinnacle ball and a Titleist 910 driver ;)

It was the best shot you hit all day, not that it took much doing! :)
