Which Pro do you think will break through to the big time this year.

My choice is Brandon Stone.
I watched him practice at The Open and his general attitude smacks of someone with the right credentials to be a top world player.

Great question. I don't watch enough of the European Tour to really know though but I remember thinking a few years ago that Tyrell Hatton would do well.

I suppose it depends what you mean by the 'big time'. Could you include Thomas Pieters for example?

Has Brandon Stone not already won this season ???? I'm going to keep an eye on Nathan Kimsey who qualified incredibly well at tour school after starting at the first stage. The other tip from me is an Essex lad called James Allan, didn't quite make the tour but has got the tools and the heart to make a great career for himself.

Richard Bland.

Not a pup out on tour, but last year saw him in marquee groups week in week out

"Break through" is such a subjective term though... are you talking about someone who probably hasn't peaked yet like Brooks koepka, Tyrrell Hatton, Tony Finau who are no longer rookies... or younger generation whos 1st proper year was last year IE matt Fitzpatrick, Bryson dechambeua, Justin Thomas etc?

I think Thomas Detry will do well from this years rookies. Seems to be the next big thing after Pieters. Could also see Eddie Pepperell getting a win this year after a disappointing year last year.

James Allan has a great attitude for the game. He is a member at my club and a thoroughly nice guy.

He's always down there practising and a joy to watch stripe balls around the course.

He was incredibly unlucky in the finals of Q School just 1 or 2 shots off of obtaining his tour card.

I will be watching him closely this season.

I think Thorbjorn Olesen is going to have a very good year. Struggled with injuries early in the year last year before coming back and winning a big tournament in Turkey, as well as the World Cup of Golf with Kjeldsen. Reckon he could kick on and contend in majors this year if everything clicks, he's one hell of a player.

If you mean big time as in winning a major

Brandon Grace
Justin Thomas
Matthew Firzpatrick

Have a feeling one of them will pick up a major this year

Agree with Grace and Thomas. Either the open or pga for Grace, and either the masters, or pga for Thomas.

Would like to see Fitz do it but maybe still too early for him. Needs to get a few more win under his belt, maybe a WGC like Knox did in 2015.
