Have more or less given up on F1, it's all just too much of a procession, watch the start, as that's reasonably exciting and if there's a chance of the race becoming wet during, as that gives the drivers something to think about, but other than that it's just mindless monotony.

+1 to this

Hamilton was bemoaning the fact that Mercedes wouldnt "split the strategy" i.e. he and Rosberg changed tyres 1 lap apart each time so once he lost qualifying and the run to the first corner he had little chance despite posting the fastest lap

Currently, it would appear, Mercedes are sucking up to Nico...

I would imagine Mercedes are concentrating on a 1-2 in the final standings.

Nico's interview at the end when he thought he had won by 7 seconds as opposed to Hamilton just giving in was laughable.

Whilst I appreciate he gets paid oodles of dosh to do the job... It can't be much different than any other employment... If you are not feeling the love [from the management] motivation can be difficult to find... Particularly as the job is done, in his mind, with winning the drivers championship...

I am sure normal service will resume next year...

For me this season has shown just how good a driver Vettel is. it was all about the car when he was winning year on year and Lewis will start to get the same tag I'm sure. Won't happen but I'd like to see them go head to head in the same team as I'm pretty sure they are the best by some distance at the moment especially in race consistency. It is turning into a bore fest though. I was watching about 30 mins delayed as we were out yesterday afternoon......kept itching to fast forward but resisted. Half an hour of my life I'll never get back!

Agreed. There is no real excitement in it anymore. No good blood and thunder clashes. Downforce and aerodynamics make it so much harder to overtake in F1 these days. If you get close behind someone on a fast bend you lose out as being in the dirty air that you can't always get close enough to do an overtake.

If you want some real racing watch Moto GP/Moto 2/Moto 3 (where we have our first Moto GP World Champion in Danny Kent since Barry Sheene although you wouldn't know it from the coverage it got in the general press) . Excellent to watch, some real characters, the riders are allowed to stop their bikes and celebrate with the fans on the lap after the chequered flag and some excellent overtaking.
