JezzE here,
Blimey - been out and about for a couple of days and come back to an epic post from the Ed that has prompted nearly 400 viewings and 68 replies. You really are a passionate bunch of golf enthusiasts out there and there are plenty of valid reasonings and arguments either way as to whether the forum should split into sub-categories... I guess the Editor's decision will be final after weighing up all your comments.

In the meantime, thought I'd point you in the direction of the latest Gear Vault video taking a look at Cobra's brand new high-tech iron - the UFi. It was so windy on filming day that Luke and I had to retire to the sanctuary of the bar... (that's my excuse anyway!).

Hope you enjoy:-

Jezz, one thing I didn't ask you last week was when you are testing gear for a new video blog, do you ever find it difficult going back to your own clubs (driver excluded for 100% F.I.R at the Jube)?

I of course, have viewed this. Like what the clubs do by the sounds of it but aesthetically they look awful to me, really awful.

I have FP's at the moment and they are grand, The S9's are even more forgiving and at £299 (steel) a set for both they are great value.

I will hit them myself out of curiousity but on what I have seen, and based on price (£599) I would give them a very wide birth.

There, I have finally said something against a Cobra product, I shall now have a wash to cleanse my soul and a drink to get myself back to rights.

MWJ, as a latecomer to the party ive missed the bulk of your discourse but already I can see an almost fanatical loyalty to King Cobra in the OP.

Can you tell us a bit more why this is? just pure curiosity.

When I tested a number of clubs I desperately wanted TM to come out on top as Mark O'Meara was the guv'nor all those years ago when I got into the game and he was in their stable then. The Pings won out for me on the day just because they just jumped out as the ones I was striking most cleanly. No more no less.

Billy, My Cobra fanatacism came by chance.

I tried a few sets of irons and the 2300's were the ones for me. When I came to choose my new gear the FP irons worked best for me as they felt a natural progression on what I already had. I got The LD fairways as they were the easiest to hit that I tried although they sound awful. The baffler was a gimme, for me it is the best hybrid by a country mile.

My driver until recently was an F-Speed, it was truly fantastic and a loyal friend, it died and a 454 comp replaced it as that was FOC. A change came about this year driver wise, I was looking for a new driver and Mike stepped in with the TP Burner.

I have a Cobra cart bag as it was the best available and ticks all the boxes for me plus it matches my gear.

As it happens I really don't like the cobra wedges and putters I have tried hence hwy they are not in my bag.

If the time comes to replace any of my kit and something works better than Cobras for me I would buy it, I wouldn;t sacrifice my game out of bloody-minded brand loyalty.

Like the quip andy!

Yeah its a shame dude, someone on here bought some Callaway's from the US and paid about 30 import tax I think, so its $70 (35) $800 (400) 50 budget for import tax and thats 485 for the Graphite ones.

I have been looking at the S9's but they dont seem to get great reviews.
