If you're in the market for cheap practice balls then these might be worth a punt, 30 for £8.99 aint bad.

I will get some as I like to throw 10 balls down around the green and at the 150 marker or just for practicing chipping at home without ruining any of my better ones.

They are also selling the weighted swing trainer and ball retreivers for £6.99 each which seems good value too.

10 balls from 150? So you have the time to shoot 10 balls from there AND repair all 10 pitchmarks. plus any others you find (probably left by you anyway

I do hope you mean range greens :D

Crane aren't a brand I've heard off so I imagine they'll be like rocks but I guess anything is better than nothing. Not sure about the cynicism re the 150 yard matker as I'm guessing you don't mean on the course. I think with longer sticks these balls really won't stop that quickly and so may not be realistic compared to your normal ball.

My advice would probably be to put a few balls into a bag as they get scuffed and use better quality to practice with rather than these Aldi specials

In answer to your questions:-

10 from 150? Yes.
Time to shoot? Yes, how long does it take you to hit a ball?
AND Time to repair pitchmarks? Again, yes. How long does this take?
An admission doesn't fill me with confidence? I look after the course VERY WELL, repairing pitch marks on greens left by myself and others, why wouldn't I? Why do you doubt me?
Frustration, indicating your respect for the course? Behave. See above.
Someone might call an ambulance? I run up to 40miles per week and am in my 30's, not 70's!
I do hope you mean range greens? No, why? :D

I do this probably once, maybe twice a month. I dont think that it is too destructive do you? Do you think that I am being disrespectful?

I dont think its disrespectful.

Don't know like, think some of the practice lake balls on EBay might be a better option.
That would be my thoughts. Especially if you're going to use these for chipping practice, totally pointless unless you normally hit rocks anyway, if you play with good balls, then this will be fals eeconomy imo.

Good find. I can't see that the balls will beat the best of sports world, but they might be OK....

As for the grip/swing trainer.....bargain!......I have one and use it lots! I paid a tenner for mine.

I have over 50 practise balls in my bag and i found them all. A cheap way to practise.

Went and bought some of these yesterday and have to say that I am quite impressed. The feel of the cover is very similar to the Wilson Staff DX2 although they are slightly harder like a Srixon Distance.

I went out and hit some 100yrds and practiced some pitching last night and they felt really good, although I would like to try them and distances over this before giving a full recommendation.

I found an Aldi and had a look. I couldn't open the balls, so I didn't bother.
BUT, the moulded grip club is a great buy! and they were selling complete sets for about £120. I pulled out a few clubs and thought.....hmm.....not bad.....better than most starter sets. Very usable, although the driver might not be able to cut the mustard.
