Just booked a tee time for Sunday, playing Brampton heath near Northampton, never played it before, is it a good course ? it looks like a heathland course from photos I've seen. Any info would be welcome, thanks

Its alongside Northampton County Course - its newish course with a little bit of heathland and parkland - looked down on by its neighbour but its an ok course

Lovely course, always in good nick. The gorse is best avoided!
I thought it was quite generous off most of the tees and the greens were true.

Enjoy your round

Cheers. Looks good from the photos I've seen,
Off up to Scotland in a few weeks and this is the nearest linksy type course I could find, should be good practice, just need the 100 mph wind we had yesterday and it'll be just like it 😃

Say hi to Kieran the pro. He left our place in March to go there. Apparently quite a decent course. I'll find out for myself in September

Cheers, I won't venture too close to the other course then, I'll stay with the peasants 😃

Dont blame you - find the members i have met at the county to be a little too fond of themselves

Fantastic expression!

Perfectly describes a few at 1 old Club who reluctantly deigned to partake of an invite for a match at a less salubrious one - where my partner and I (who were happy to play anywhere) were the only ones to get a result!

Played the whole winter series their, heathland course, decent greens, quite generous fairways off the tee, it was painfully slow during all the winter series matches but I enjoyed the course and would play it again but in different circumstances.

I carried the first time and learned quickly its a trolley job.

Nice food, friendly clubhouse and pro, it was also cheap as chips for the winter meetings with good prizes, of which we won a couple :smirk:
