So last year and the lack of golf affected many and the forum became a little less harmonious. An atmosphere I personally feel never fully lifted.

So with the "beast from the east" being forecast this probably won't bode well for tempers.

Anyone getting the popcorn supplies in or will we try and greet the season with new found peace and goodwill?

I'll believe it when i see it!!!! The Daily Express, bless em, keep releasing ridiculous front page headlines with extreme weather connotations. Their promise of a Saharan summer didn't materialise so i take their winter predictions with a pinch of salt too. My first impressions of this place are excellent so hope harmony can be maintained going forward !!!

what lack of golf was that we had the mildest winter in 50 years, we even had to have the spinklers on in feb it was so dry on the course.

Lack of golf? I think the course was closed once over the winter. Its just there are to many precious types on here who always seem to be offended on someone else's behalf!

this forum used to go into meltdown over winter- usually January as thats the worst weather and long dark weeks with only a few hours daylight at weekends.

It's certainly better than it was but its gone T'Other way so you have to be uber careful about anyones feelings even if you have no idea you are offending them as your post will be reported anyway (As the Editors post informed us all recently)

I feel you're angling for an argument as most of us got plenty of golf in even if it was a bit on the wet side.

If it's cold then it's dry and if it's dry then I'm playing! Bring on the "Beast from the East" is all I can say. Wrap up warm and get out there.

I feel you're angling for an argument ................

I'm sure he's not but if I said that if it does all come true, this year I'll be choosing between Pebble Beach, The Brabazon, Turnberry ........

Joking aside, if it does come true and any Lincs members fancy a round mid week with some coffee thrown in, drop me a line.

Not up here it didn't ;)

as for the somerset levels, hold the front page a hole flood plain that's been reclaimed floods......;)

Bet that is so heart warming to hear to the people who lost everything due to poor flood defences from the government

Is that at Blankney?

Nope it's in my 'garage' Bob. (garage in inverted commas as it's insulated and heated etc with 11 foot high ceiling, vid before of my swing is in there) Feel free to pop over, would be good to see you again, I'm just North of Blankney.

Set up is a GC2 running Foresight sports Performance Software and the enclosure is a Net Return Simulator Series with high def ultra short throw projector. This gives an idea of the kit working although I didn't have blinds up then so it was taken in direct sunlight - the photo below it gives a better idea of picture clarity. That's with ponsey camera angles but I normally just use it in down range mode:

This gives a better idea of picture clarity now although it's a replay of a shot .....
