Brabazon £60 in April?

Hello all,

Following a thread for the middle with no much meet wise happening and seeing this offer i though ti would post and gauge demand.

During april on a tuesday wednesday or thursday The Belfry are offering a society rate of £60 for

Tea/Coffee and Bacon Roll
Range Token
!8 Holes on Brabazon
Longest Drive Comp

Is there much interest?
Which week/day?

Do they insist on handicap certificates with that offer?

It's advertised on there web site when booking as 24 handicap but I've not heard of anyone being refused or even requested to show a certificate.

Thanks, and to the other replies on it. It's fair enough, I didn't know if they were more lenient nowadays or with groups.

That's a great offer - The Brabazon is always in great condition. Take a bit of cash for a bite to eat and a pint afterwards though as it ain't cheap!

No the starter checks your bag before you tee off....................... Probably a good idea, particularly if it's a nice day as they have loads of tables and chairs overlooking the Brabazon first / PGA National 18th - you can have a nice little picnic!!

Those tables are dangerous! Sitting having a post round drink, some joker playing out of a bunker on the 18th of the PGA - he thinned it and his ball whistled between my left ear and shoulder (I had my back to the green) shatterd my pint which was in front of me, richoched off the glass window and rolled down the path to the 1st tee of the Brabazon. The git never came to retrieve his ball and made a hasty exit stage left.
